We are a chartered professional accountancy firm committed to providing great client service with a personal touch. Our clientele includes the owners of small, medium and large private businesses covering a wide range of industries as well as not-for-profit organizations and estates/trusts.

Our objective is to assist clients in reaching their personal and business goals. We do so by obtaining an in-depth understanding of their individual needs and then applying our knowledge and abilities to the matters at hand in order to achieve success. As we see it, we are not in the business of selling a commodity, which is how many view assurance and tax preparation services. We are wealth maximization, business and tax consultants who simultaneously meet our clients’ compliance needs. For these reasons and more, many clients consider us an extension of their management team.

Walsh & Company was founded in 1990. This firm was brought into existence to enhance the quality of services to all clients in a professional, yet friendly environment. Since then, our firm has set out to meet the unique needs of each client, as well as the needs of our staff. We pride ourselves in ensuring an optimal work environment exists, where each staff member is valued as an individual and as a vital part of our team. We are dedicated to maintaining a healthy work/life balance while continuing to exceed our clients’ expectations.

Our Leaders

Shawn Walsh
CPA, CA, LPA, CFP, CPA (Illinois) (416) 494 4869

Shawn attended post secondary school at Mars Hill University in North Carolina on a golf scholarship where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 2003. Upon graduation he pursued professional golf for a few years where he played on several mini-tours including the Canadian Tour. After realizing life as a golf professional was not for him, he returned to Canada to join Walsh & Company in 2005, obtaining his CA designation in 2008, U.S. CPA designation the following year, CFP designation in 2013 and completed the three-year CPA in-depth tax program thereafter. Shawn’s versatile education allows him to provide advice to clients in a variety of areas including expanding into the U.S., corporate structuring and estate planning. Shawn enjoys the challenges and variety offered by public accounting; his passion for client service and pragmatic, results oriented approach go well with the owner-managed and non-profit organizations that he serves.

In his spare time, he continues to be active in sports, particularly running, biking and golf. Shawn is also actively involved in his church and dedicated to his wife and sons.

Holly Malley

Holly initially joined Walsh & Company as a co-op student in 2005. After completing a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2007, she was pleased to join Walsh & Company as a full-time employee. She went on to complete her CA designation and was admitted to membership in 2009. Holly enjoys working with owner-managers because she believes it allows her to see all aspects of the business – something she feels is necessary to provide the financial advice clients seek. She also feels privileged to have the opportunity to work alongside not-for-profit organizations and assist them to achieve their objectives. Lastly, a significant portion of her experience relates to estates, trusts and estate planning. Clients and team members enjoy her dedication, personable nature and ability to explain complex tax matters in simpler terms.

Outside of the office, Holly loves sports. She is a loyal Toronto Blue Jays fan and has recently taken up tennis. She is also actively involved with her sons’ baseball teams.

Sabrina Wang

Sabrina graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics with double bachelor degrees in accounting and finance. She came to Canada right after graduation and attended the Masters of Accountancy program at Brock University. Sabrina joined Walsh & Company in 2013 and obtained her CPA, CGA designation in 2014. Sabrina has been specializing in Canadian income taxes since 2017 and completed the three-year CPA in-depth tax courses in 2020. Sabrina loves assisting her clients in making business decisions and helping them with their accounting and taxation needs. She takes pride in the trust she earns from her clients and is dedicated to providing them with unmatched service.

In her spare time, Sabrina enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son. The family loves outdoor activities, exploring gourmet food and travelling.

Mike Zhang

After completing a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Toronto in 2009, Mike went on to complete his Chartered Accountancy designation and was admitted to membership in 2012, followed by completion of the Certified Financial Planner designation and the Trust and Estate Practitioner designation in 2021. Before joining Walsh & Company, Mike was a partner at a local firm and merged with Walsh & Company in 2021. Mike enjoys working with owner-managers as he has a passion for working with entrepreneurs to help them meet their objectives and grow their businesses. He also enjoys working with non-profit organizations and charities to achieve their goals and accounting needs. Away from the office, Mike enjoys playing sports, reading and travelling with his family and friends.

Caitlin completed her BBA and Graduate Diploma of Accounting at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2021. She started pursuing her accounting career through co-op during 2019-2021 and started as a full time staff accountant in 2022, joining Walsh and Company in 2024. Caitlin is currently working towards her CPA designation. Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys being active both at the gym and outside with her dog, as well as enjoying time at the cottage during the summer months with friends and family.
